Key Officers

C. Richard Peterson, Chief Executive Officer — Mr. Peterson is the CEO of Reflective Learning. He was previously CEO of Penn Capital Insurance Company, and before that, from 1994 to 1998 he was Vice Chairman of Minet Group, PLC and CEO of its North American retail and wholesale operations. Minet Group is an insurance brokerage firm based in London. Prior to Minet, he was EVP of Sedgwick Group, which was an insurance brokerage firm, also based in London, before its acquisition by Marsh and McLennan. Mr. Peterson was CEO of Sedgwick’s New York office. While with Sedgwick Group, Mr. Peterson served a term of eight years on the executive committee of the National Association of Insurance Brokers and was its President in 1990-1991.

Mr. Peterson also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Eisenhower Fellowships and was Treasurer of the Eisenhower Foundation from 2001-2005. He serves on the Board of Directors of Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual, a property/casualty insurance company based in Philadelphia. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Treatment Research Institute, which is a national research and development center for drug and alcohol addictions. Mr. Peterson attended Colby College (BA) and the University of Pennsylvania (MS), and he attended management development programs at Harvard Business School (PMD) and Oxford University (AMP).

John N. Irwin, Co-founder, Chief Financial Officer and Director — Mr. Irwin is President of Jacklin Associates, Inc., a Radnor based financial consulting firm and a director and Chief Financial Officer of several privately owned companies, including Skee Ball, Inc., the TDH venture capital companies, LBS Technologies and Intergroup Services Corporation. Mr. Irwin, a CPA, has extensive experience in guiding early stage enterprises to profitability. Mr. Irwin is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College with a degree in Economics.

Anthony P. Jannetta, Co-founder, Head of Corporate Development — Mr. Jannetta is President of A. P. Jannetta Associates, Inc., a Radnor based consulting firm. Mr. Jannetta has extensive experience in the start-up of new companies, having started over a dozen new entities in the last five years. These entities ranged from plant, animal and human biotech companies to investment, education and real estate concerns. Mr. Jannetta is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and is involved in a number of scientific projects with the university.

Doug Hensch, Chief Operations Officer — Mr. Hensch joined Reflective Learning after several years of successful Human Resources consulting as both an internal and external advisor. Most recently, Mr. Hensch helped define the Human Resources consulting practice with an international firm that primarily focused on assessing executive talent. The firm used a broad array of psychometric and analytical tools along with an in-depth interview process to evaluate leaders.

Previously, Mr. Hensch spent several years with Sprint Nextel where he served the company through a record-setting merger as an Executive Organization Development (OD) consultant. Mr. Hensch helped executives, managers, and front-line employees through the merger with various interventions including organization design, professional development workshops, and executive coaching.

Mr. Hensch has extensive experience training others in the areas of management, leadership, communication skills, and team development. Earlier in his career, he developed and facilitated product and systems training for the nation’s first commercial PCS carrier (Sprint Spectrum). He also oversaw the development of a new leadership curriculum that helped build a strong base of leaders at Sprint Nextel.

Prior to his working Training, Mr. Hensch led Nextel’s efforts to reduce operation costs by fielding customer issues via the internet. His team developed, implemented, and maintained online customer service functionality that saw immediate results that saved the company in excess of $8 million dollars per year.

Mr. Hensch received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s degree in Education from Temple University and a Master’s in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.

Andrew J. Rosenthal, Director, Business Development — Mr. Rosenthal is a recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. As Director of Business Development for Reflective Learning, Andrew develops corporate and product strategy and analyzes new business opportunities. With his experience in the field of positive psychology, he spends significant time advising clients on program implementation.

Mr. Rosenthal also works for Dr. Seligman, Director of the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Positive Psychology, where he is a Project Coordinator. His work with Dr. Seligman was recently featured in the New York Times.

Originally from Portland, Oregon, he is an avid skier and traveler. While at the University of Pennsylvania, he was recognized by President Amy Gutmann for his work as chair of the 8th National Undergraduate Bioethics Conference and founder of the Penn Bioethics Journal. Andrew was on the executive board of the Penn Mock Trial program and won regional awards.

Mr. Rosenthal is President of the Penn Alumni Club of Philadelphia and a Trustee of Psi Upsilon of Philadelphia. He serves on the Alumni Network Advisory Board to the Center for Civic Education. Mr. Rosenthal has been with Reflective Learning since March, 2006.
